Job summary

Santa Rosa Junior College is accepting applications to establish a pool for associate faculty assignments. These assignments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call, and may be immediate or as needed.

The district does not offer remote-only assignments. Assignments are made on a part-time, hourly basis, with initial step placement at Step 1 and compensation determined by academic background and experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history is required.
• Bachelor’s in any of the above and Master’s in humanities can satisfy minimum quals.
• Or the equivalent qualification must be documented.
• Note: MFA in non-plastic arts does not count in certain contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent instruction and faculty support to students, including evening, weekend, online or hybrid assignments.
• Provide academic assistance and related services to students during scheduled office hours.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of community college students.
• Maintain currency in field(s) of expertise.
• Associate faculty focus on instruction and/or student services and may be asked to perform additional compensated services.
