Job summary

Santa Rosa Junior College is currently accepting applications to establish a pool for associate faculty assignments. Positions may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call and may be immediate or as needed.

The district does not offer remote-only assignments and requires on-site work at Santa Rosa campuses and locations. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications in the arts or arts history, or equivalent, and demonstrate ability to serve a diverse student population.

Qualifications

• Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history (as defined in the note).
• Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in humanities, or the equivalent.
• Requires a sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent instruction and faculty support to students, including evening, weekend, online or hybrid assignments.
• Provide academic assistance and related services during scheduled office hours.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and maintain currency in field(s) of expertise.
• Associate faculty focus on instruction and/or student services and may not be required to participate in district service unless compensated.
• Follow SRJC and AFA contract guidelines for duties and equivalency processes.

Education

Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history

Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in humanities
