Job summary

Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, California invites applications to establish a pool for associate faculty assignments across disciplines. These positions may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call, with on-site work required by the department's needs.

Assignments vary by class and term, with compensation on an hourly basis. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications in the arts and be prepared to support a diverse student population; a strong portfolio is expected for

Qualifications

Required: Master's in fine arts, art, or art history; OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in humanities; OR the equivalent.
Additional Requirements: Instructor must submit a portfolio of personal and student work, a syllabus following the Title V Course Outline of Record, and documentation of coursework, degrees, and professional experience for equivalency.
Preferred: MFA in Painting, Drawing, or Printmaking; or MA with 18-21 grad studio units in painting/drawing; and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent instruction and faculty support to students, including evening, weekend, online or hybrid assignments.
Provide academic assistance and related services to students during scheduled office hours.
Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and maintain currency in field(s) of expertise.
