Job summary

McAllen Independent School District is seeking a Part-Time Technology Support Technician to serve Perez, Roosevelt, Seguin, and Wilson Elementary Schools in McAllen, TX. You will provide on-site, remote, and help-desk support for district devices and applications, with a focus on prompt, high-quality problem resolution.

Responsibilities include assisting teachers and students, training users, troubleshooting hardware/software, maintaining inventory, and coordinating with the Technology

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• COMPTIA certification preferred.
• Enrolled in CS or related field with min 3 credits.
• GPA of 2.5 or higher required.
• Available for 19 hours per week (3–4 hours/day).
• Willing to work irregular hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service for technology users.
• Train users on proper guidance for support and devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and wireless issues.
• Provide district hardware, software, and support solutions.
• Collaborate with campuses and departments to implement solutions.
• Understand district software/hardware and devices.
• Plan action for deployment and moves of devices.
• Prepare and update technology equipment inventory.
• Assist with installation or updating of devices/software.
• Contribute to a collaborative technology department.
• Follow McAllen ISD customer service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
