Job summary

Alpine School District in Greenwood is seeking a Nutrition Services Worker to support food service operations at the site. You will prepare and serve meals for students and staff while maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and cafeteria area that meets health standards.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs as part of daily duties. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with age 16 or older; prior food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Job related experience is desired.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout a work day. Must be able to push/pull up to 150 lbs. repeatedly throughout a work day.

Responsibilities

• Arranges food and beverage items for serving.
• Attends unit meetings and training to perform job functions.
• Cleans utensils, equipment, and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Cooks food to meet nutritional and meal requirements.
• Estimates preparation amounts and adjusts recipes to minimize waste.
• Inspects items for quantity, quality and health standards.
• Inventories food, condiments, supplies and equipment.
• Maintains sanitary conditions in kitchen and cafeteria areas.
• Monitors kitchen and cafeteria areas for safety and sanitation.
• Performs other nutritional services duties as assigned to ensure adequate staff coverage.
• Prepares food and beverages for breakfast and lunch.
• Reports equipment malfunctions for repair or replacement.
• Serves food items to meet nutritional requirements.
