Job summary

The Alpine School District is hiring a Nutrition Service Worker to support food service activities at an assigned location, including preparing and serving meals for students and staff. This is a non-contract, no-benefits position with 5.5 hours per day at an hourly rate of $16.62.

Responsibilities include arranging food items for service, maintaining sanitary kitchen and serving areas, cooking and preparing meals, inspecting supplies, and assisting with other nutrition services tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Age 16+; High school diploma or equivalent; Job-related experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Arranges food and beverage items for serving to students and staff.
• Attends unit meetings and training for job function information.
• Cleans utensils, equipment, and areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Cooks food to meet nutritional and meal requirements.
• Estimates quantities and adjusts recipes to meet needs and minimize waste.
• Inspects items and supplies for quality and health standards.
• Maintains inventories of food and supplies.
• Monitors kitchen and cafeteria for safe, sanitary environment.
• Prepares food and beverages for meals.
• Reports equipment malfunctions for repair.
• Serves food to meet nutritional requirements and requests.
• Performs related duties to ensure efficient operations.
