Job summary

Alpine-School-District is seeking a Nutrition Services Worker to support food service activities at an assigned location, preparing and serving meals to students and staff while keeping facilities sanitary.

Requirements include age 16+, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs. The position is non-contract and hourly, with hours per day at 5.5 and an hourly rate of $16.62.

Qualifications

• Age 16+.

• Job related experience is desired.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and push/pull up to 150 lbs throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Arranges food and beverages for serving to students and staff.
• Attends unit meetings and trainings to perform job functions.
• Cleans utensils, equipment and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Cooks food to meet nutritional and meal requirements.
• Estimates preparation amounts and adjusts recipes to minimize waste.
• Inspects items and supplies for quantity, quality and health standards.
• Inventory management of food, condiments, supplies and equipment.
• Maintains sanitary conditions of equipment and areas.
• Monitors kitchen and cafeteria for a safe working environment.
• Performs duties of other nutritional services positions as needed.
• Prepares food and beverages for meals.
• Reports equipment malfunctions for repair or replacement.
• Serves food to meet nutritional requirements and requests.
