Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or a similar role is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and staff.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and menus.
• Assist in the daily setup and breakdown of the food service area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards throughout the food preparation and serving processes.
• Monitor food temperatures and portion sizes to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing food and supplies.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service and address any issues that arise during service.
• Support students during meal times, promoting healthy eating habits and positive interactions.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance food service skills.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager.
