Job summary

Right At School is seeking a part-time, on-call Educator to work at school sites, guiding activities, ensuring a safe, structured environment, and building positive relationships with students.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience with children, strong customer service and communication skills, reliability, and the ability to lift 25 lbs; schedule includes 6:45–8:30 AM and 2:30–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games.
• Outstanding customer service and communication with both children and adults.
• Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part-time schedule.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel during a shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in students at the start of each session; take attendance and maintain accurate records.
• Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons for the age group.
• Facilitate homework time and support with academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions; ensure safety and structure.
• Address minor conflicts using positive guidance techniques.
• Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up/drop-off; report incidents when needed.
• Log incident reports and safety concerns; notify Program Manager.
• Set up and clean up program space and materials daily.
• Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with staff.
