Job summary

Right At School is seeking an Educator to lead activities and support kids at partner schools. You will create a safe, structured environment, guide enrichment activities, help with homework, and communicate with families daily.

The role offers part-time shifts (Before and After School) with on-site, school-based work sites, and opportunities to gain experience in education and child development while making a real impact in your community.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills with children and adults.
• Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part-time schedule.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel during shifts.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to support additional program locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in students, take attendance, and maintain records.
• Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons.
• Facilitate homework time and provide academic support as needed.
• Supervise during free play, snack time, and transitions; ensure safety.
• Address minor conflicts using positive guidance techniques.
• Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up/drop-off.
• Report incidents and safety concerns to the site lead; log reports.
• Set up and clean up program space and materials daily.
• Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with staff.
