Job summary

Right At School is seeking a part-time on-call Educator to work at partner schools in Illinois. You’ll lead activities, supervise students, support homework time, and help create a safe, structured environment during before- and after-school programs. Pay ranges from $16 to $19 per hour, based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children (preferred).
• Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills with children and adults.
• Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part-time schedule.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in students, take attendance, and maintain records.
• Plan and lead daily activities and enrichment lessons for the age group.
• Facilitate homework time and support academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions.
• Address minor conflicts using positive guidance techniques.
• Communicate with parents at pick-up/drop-off and document incidents.
• Set up and clean up program space and materials every day.
• Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with other staff.
