Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Part-Time Custodian for a 12-month assignment. You will clean assigned areas, perform daily disinfecting of fountains, sinks, urinals, and toilets, and complete the Custodian Check List to verify each room's cleanliness.

Candidates should have strong multitasking and communication skills, with preferred experience in custodial work. The hourly rate is $17.00, shifts vary Monday through Friday, and the district notes AA/EOE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas.
• Disinfect drinking fountains, sinks, urinals, toilets daily.
• Complete Custodian Check List daily to verify cleaning.
• Sweep floors and stairs daily and secure building.
• Empty waste containers daily; wash weekly.
• Dust desks, lockers, windowsills and surfaces daily.
• Keep dispensers filled (soap, towels, tissues).
• Report emergencies and non-working fixtures to supervisor.
• Perform summer maintenance as needed.
• Secure the building when leaving.
