Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated individual for a part-time Operations: Maintenance/Custodial role. The position focuses on keeping facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, inventory management, and coordinating with the team to maintain schedules. Prior custodial or maintenance experience and a high school diploma are preferred; flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in custodial or maintenance roles is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safe handling, and general safety.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and equipment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and stay active during shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

• Flexible availability, including evenings or weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance across offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Inspect premises regularly to address maintenance needs and ensure safety compliance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues quickly.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and order restocks as needed.
• Collaborate with team to create cleaning schedules and maintenance plans.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and used safely.
• Assist with minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Support events by preparing venues and cleaning before/after use.
• Adhere to company policies, promoting a safe and respectful workplace.
