Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature, punctual individual with a clean driving record and a valid CDL with passenger endorsement.

Responsibilities include bus inspections, refueling, and enforcing safety rules. The position is part-time and non-exempt, with potential classroom volunteering if approved. All candidates must pass background and FMCSA checks and undergo drug testing as required.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) is required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in the last 5 years.
• Must pass a background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse check.
• Annual or pre-employment drug and/or alcohol testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws at all times and maintain safety.
• Keep the bus clean and mechanically safe; perform regular inspections.
• Refuel the bus as needed and manage routine maintenance.
• Enforce safety rules and assist students boarding and exiting the vehicle.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training; participate in classroom volunteering if approved.
