LifeWise Academy is hiring a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students to and from LifeWise sites. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include transporting children and LifeWise volunteers, enforcing safety rules, inspecting and refueling the bus, and maintaining a respectful, calm demeanor. A valid CDL with passenger endorsement is required; school-bus endorsement is preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL license with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• School bus endorsement (S) preferred.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last five years.
• Background check, MVR, and FMCSA Clearinghouse required.
• Age 21–80; drivers above 75 must annually submit CDL license copy and (P) endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Be aware of students needing help or who are misbehaving.
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed with the director.
