First Student in Eastpointe, MI is seeking experienced part-time School Bus Drivers to start students' days with morning pickup and return them home after school. You may have additional hours for field trips and events, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Ideal candidates hold CDL-B with P and S endorsements, pass a DOT physical, and meet background checks. The role offers a flexible part-time schedule and opportunities for advancement within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-B license.
• Passenger (P) Endorsement.
• School Bus (S) Endorsement.
• No Air Brake Restriction (or have air brakes).
• PDDP/Drug & Alcohol Program compliant.
• Able to pass background screening.
• Meet DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
