Job summary

First Student is hiring a Part Time School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school, with morning pickup and afternoon returns. Additional hours for field trips and special events may be available; no experience is necessary.

We provide expert training to help you become a safe, professional driver, plus benefits like medical insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and a guaranteed minimum of four paid hours per day.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Part-time schedule with AM/PM routes; summers off not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, etc.).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
