Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant Site Director for our Marian E. McKeown Elementary School location for the 2026–2027 school year.

This role supports before- and after-school care for children ages 5–12, with morning and/or afternoon shifts aligned to the school calendar. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years of experience with children, and some lead or supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred
• 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting
• Some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
• Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments is a plus
• Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations helpful but not required
• Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment
• Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances

Responsibilities

• Program quality: kids are engaged, safe, and having fun every day
• Staffing: site is fully staffed; teachers are prepared, supported, and present
• Compliance: operate in ratio; records are accurate; ready for inspection
• Inventory: supplies stocked; restocking before it becomes a problem
• Build relationships and support student growth within a mission-driven team
