Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School Age Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Programs at Marian E. McKeown Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The role is part-time and non-exempt, with an $16.00 per hour wage.

Shifts run morning 7:00–8:15 am and/or afternoon 3:00–6:00 pm, following the school calendar. Opportunities exist for morning, afternoon, or both. Responsibilities include facilitating activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum, providing a safe, engaging

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required.
• Candidates must successfully pass all required state background checks.
• Ability to meet physical demands including bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
• Positive, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and homework completion).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Some positions may perform management functions such as attendance records, registration, and staffing.
