Job summary

Holy Cross College is seeking a part-time Library Access Services Specialist for Saturday 9 am to 12 pm. The role provides front-line circulation desk coverage, supports students and faculty, and helps maintain library services and access to resources.

The position requires familiarity with library systems and a customer-focused approach, with responsibilities including check-ins/outs, reserving materials, and assisting with service desk operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in library services, including circulation or related functions.
• Ability to provide courteous, tactful, and nonjudgmental service with strong communication skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to library systems, databases, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Serve students, faculty, staff, and library users at the service desk during Saturday hours.
• Maintain the reserve shelf and ensure materials are available for class needs and assignments.
• Handle check-ins, check-outs, renewals, and holds; maintain orderly shelves and collections.
