The Moorestown Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to provide excellent customer service and support on-site. The position includes 7-20 hours per week with Saturday and Sunday shifts and potential additional hours on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Responsibilities include greeting patrons, assisting with information requests, handling check-in/out, and processing patron accounts. Prior library experience is preferred; strong computer skills and a friendly, energetic demeanor are essential.

• Able to lift books, stand, shelve on low and high shelves.

• Answers phone and routes calls accordingly.
• Welcomes patrons entering the library.
• Registers new patrons, updates cards, and renews expired library cards.
• Checks material in/out.
• Assists patrons with information requests and/or finding material.
• Fields reference & assistance questions to appropriate staff.
• Handles basic math calculations with precision; collects donations and fees.
• Shelves returned materials.
• Manages item requests/holds.
