Job Summary
Assists Store Management with in-store supervision including directing personnel. Provides effective leadership to all associates. Displays the highest level of customer service in all areas. This position will function as a front line member of the Retail Store Leadership Team at our NEW STORE coming to West Town Mall in Knoxville, TN.
- Greets and assists guests in selection and purchase of merchandise.
- Resolves guest issues effectively.
- Keeps supervisor informed of product, guest, and/or personnel issues.
- Monitors and approves guest’s returns in accordance with retail policies.
- Monitors associates' guest service levels; provides feedback as needed.
- Utilizes GUESTS program when interacting with guests on sales floor or phone and when handling guest owned jewelry.
- Prepare and review supply orders from the JAC warehouse, and prepare orders for other items through the applicable purchasing channels.
- Perform leadership responsibilities for store opening and closing duties.
- Provide leadership and training to associates in all areas of responsibility with emphasis on guest service and sales. Coordinate regular and seasonal associate training. Delegate assignments to Associates.
- Assist in the annual inventory process; ensure compliance with established processes and guidelines. Support inventory cycle counting, adjustments, shipping, and receiving of merchandise, following company procedures. Notify appropriate retail and corporate personnel of inventory issues.
- Participate and assist in conducting store meetings.
- Implement plans for company events and promotions.
- Develop and conduct team-building activities.
- Monitor product trends and communicate changes to the District Manager.
Product Care
- Be fully trained to operate all service equipment, including polish motor, handheld polisher, PUK weld equipment, pin finisher, ultrasonic unit, small tools, and related chemicals. Train staff to operate all service area equipment and small tools.
- Ensure product care services meet or exceed operational standards.
Visual Merchandising
- Perform staging, setup, maintenance, and replacement of display items using visual merchandising guidelines.
- Assist management in maintaining store presentation standards.
Additional Responsibilities
- Process employee purchases in the absence of the Store Manager or Co-Manager.
- Ensure security procedures are followed to protect assets.
- Create and review employee schedules, ensuring operational and budgetary guidelines are met, and customer service levels are maintained.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
- Adhere to company policies including attendance, harassment-free workplace, and electronic communication guidelines.

- Collaborate across teams to foster positive relationships and trust.
- Assist in other areas as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1-year retail or customer service experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
