Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Temple, TX is hiring a PT Sales Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate items, and ensure a fast checkout experience. You will handle cash transactions accurately and participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram maintenance to keep the store well merchandised.

As part of the team, you will promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, assist with Omni channel tasks, and contribute to store safety and shrink programs

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and securely.
• Willingness to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and help customers find products.
• Provide a fast, friendly checkout with accurate cash handling.
• Educate customers about Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them.
• Assist Omni channel processes like BOPIS and Ship From Store.
• Unload trucks, stock merchandise, and maintain planograms (POGs).
• Execute merchandise recovery and returns/go-back processes.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization and AD set duties.
• Support shrink and safety programs and SOP compliance.
• Interact respectfully, model Michaels values for others.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
