Job summary

PATH is seeking a part-time Safety Support Associate at the Los Angeles Interim Housing site to help maintain a safe environment for staff, participants, and visitors. The role involves monitoring facilities, building rapport with participants, and supporting safety and security systems.

Responsibilities include coordinating with case management and security teams, conducting site rounds, and drafting documentation.

Qualifications

• All levels of experience and education welcome.
• Be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training.
• Background screening, tuberculosis test and drug test required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall safety of the interim housing site with observation, de-escalation, and participant engagement.
• Coordinate with onsite case management to provide site support.
• Coordinate with contracted security agencies to ensure site safety.
• Conduct regular rounds and report discrepancies or concerns.
• Assist with drafting written documentation on safety and security.
• Respond to safety or crisis situations using non-violent crisis intervention.
• Assist with developing forms, procedures, and manuals for the Metro LA Interim Housing.
• Complete reports as necessary or requested.
• Attend meetings and provide input on safety and operations.
