Job summary

PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) is looking for a part-time Safety Support Associate in Los Angeles, CA to help keep interim housing sites safe for staff, participants, and visitors. The role involves monitoring facilities, engaging participants, and supporting crisis response with non-violent techniques.

You will collaborate with the interim housing team, case management, and contracted security to maintain a secure environment and implement safety protocols across the site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor interim housing site to maintain a safe environment.
• Engage participants and apply de-escalation strategies.
• Coordinate with onsite case management to support the site.
• Coordinate with contracted security to ensure safety.
• Conduct site rounds and report discrepancies or concerns.
• Assist with drafting safety documentation and correspondence.
• Respond to safety or crisis incidents using non-violent methods.
• Support development of forms, procedures, and manuals.
• Attend meetings and provide input on safety operations.
