Job summary

American Greetings is seeking a part-time Merchandiser to service retail locations in Chicago, displaying products and maintaining inventories across greeting cards, gift wrap, and party goods. You will work independently on assigned routes near downtown and surrounding areas, with a focus on organization and timely restocking.

No prior experience is required as training is provided; the role emphasizes flexibility, weekend availability, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English is required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Access to reliable transportation for multiple locations.
• Access to reliable internet to receive critical job information and updates.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on assigned route, merchandising and organizing product orders.
• Display product in greeting card departments and other locations.
• Maintain organized backrooms and other inventory tasks.
• Communicate with management regarding schedules and questions.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment with strong time-management.
• Build relationships with store associates and management during daytime hours.
• Be available for additional days and extended hours around holidays.
• Assist with store resets including fixture work or product assembly as needed.
• Plan weekly service schedule using a company tablet.
• Work independently and with a team.
