Job summary

Intertek is seeking a P/T Rope Access Level III Technician in Houston, TX to perform visual inspections via rope access under supervision or independently. The role requires SPRAT/IRATA III certification and 3+ years field experience, with potential for supervisory duties on the Rope Access team.

Travel is required for this project-based position. The candidate should be proficient in NDE procedures, able to train others, and able to communicate clearly with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Current SPRAT/IRATA Level III certification is required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of field experience as a rope access technician.
• Experience as Rope Access Supervisor is preferred.
• ASNT Level II certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid TWIC card is required.
• Ability to pass a physical examination.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors.
• Ability to solve technical issues in the field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain climbing logbook per SPRAT/IRATA guidelines.
• Prepare NDE reports and document data clearly and promptly.
• Interface with clients on rope access and NDE procedures.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance of trainees.
• Maintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Organize and report test results and send information to office for data processing.
• Follow technological advancements in NDE/Rope Access industries.
