Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Rope Access Level III Technician in Houston, TX to perform visual inspections via rope access under supervision or independently. The role requires extensive field experience and leadership of the Rope Access team.

The position involves maintaining SPRAT/IRATA records, interfacing with clients on technical matters, training trainees, and staying current with NDE/Rope Access developments.

Qualifications

• Current SPRAT/IRATA Certification Level III required.
• Minimum of 3+ years field experience.
• Prior experience as a Rope Access Supervisor preferred.
• ASNT Level II certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid TWIC card required.
• Able to pass physical exam.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors.
• Ability to solve technical issues in the field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain climbing logbook per SPRAT/IRATA guidelines.
• Prepare NDE reports and document data in a clear and timely manner.
• Interface with clients on technical matters involving Rope Access and NDE procedures and capabilities.
• Provide on the job training and guidance of assigned trainees.
• Maintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Organize and report test results and send information to office for data processing.
• Follow technology advancements in the NDE/Rope Access industries.
