Job summary

Grand Hyatt Nashville in Nashville is seeking a Rooftop Bartender to deliver exceptional service, craft cocktails, and maintain bar operations in a fast-paced hotel setting. You will greet guests, manage cash, support beer and wine service, and contribute to guest satisfaction and beverage revenue while upholding Hyatt standards.

Strong mixology knowledge, excellent communication, and teamwork are essential.

• TIPS certification or equivalent required.
• Must meet state age requirements for serving alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve cocktails and other drinks using proper techniques.
• Serve wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages and food as needed.
• Handle cash and process payments using POS system.
• Stock, display and replenish bar supplies and glassware.
• Greet guests warmly and provide hospitality at all times.
• Lead assigned associates in lead capacity when required.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety and responsible alcohol service.

The Rooftop Bartender will shape the guest experience in lou/na through excellent service, product knowledge, and engaging hospitality. Your ability to craft beverages, manage bar operations, and create a welcoming atmosphere directly impacts guest satisfaction, food and beverage revenue, and brand reputation. Whether serving solo or supporting a team, your presence at the bar influences the energy and pace of service across the outlet.

How You’ll Shape The Experience & Future

• Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serve wine draught, bottled beer, non-alcoholic beverages and food.
• Collect money for drinks served.
• Orders and requisitions liquors and supplies. Stock and replenish glasses, beverages, mixes, fruit, and guest supplies.
• Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
• Wash glasses, bar, and equipment.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks; prepare appetizers, such as pickles, cheese and cold meats.
• Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• If functioning in a Lead Capacity: (a) take responsibility for assigned associates in the absence of the Supervisor, (b) assign work, and ensure proper performance of assigned associates.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Familiarity with food pairing and cross-selling techniques considered a plus
• Capable of working independently or as part of a larger service team

Academic Background

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Pay Rate: $6.00/hour + Tips
