Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Minnesota is seeking a professional truck driver to shuttle trailers between service centers and turn-points using tractor-trailer configurations.

You will perform safety inspections, hook and unhook trailers, and maintain logs while complying with hazmat rules. Overnight stays may be required depending on routes and service center locations.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements.
• 1 year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.
• Acceptable MVR and DOT compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, hook/unhook trailers, and work independently or in teams.
• Good communication and motivation to perform.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer units, including doubles/triples where applicable.

Position Overview:

Responsible for pickup and delivery of trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer units, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Perform daily safety and pre-trip inspections.
• Hook and unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Complete required documentation, reports, and maintain accurate logs.
• Follow hazardous material regulations and dispatch instructions.
• May perform chaining of tires, loading/unloading freight, and duties of city driver or dock employee if necessary.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements (automatic transmission restriction allowed).
• At least 1 year recent experience or completion of a driver development course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ability to handle trailer hookups, lift approximately 100 pounds, sit for extended periods, and work independently or in teams.
• Good communication skills and motivation to perform.

Working Conditions

Long-distance driving in diverse weather conditions, exposure to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials. Overnight stays might be required.
