Job summary

Sherwood Oaks Post Acute is seeking a part-time RN to supervise daily nursing activities and ensure quality care in a long-term care setting. You will work under the DON/ADON, participate in policy development, and help maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, care-plan oversight, QA participation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must have a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• 2+ years of experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during the tour of duty.
• Assist in directing day-to-day functions of the nursing services.
• Participate in developing and updating nursing policies and procedures.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and followed.
• Report to Director of Nursing and participate in QA activities.
• Attend committee meetings (Infection Control, Policy Advisory, Quality Assessment).
• Ensure adequate staffing of RNs/LPNs and CNAs for the tour.
• Review and document resident care plans and progress notes.
