Job summary

Qualifications

• Direct the day-to-day nursing assistants' functions.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Review and update Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Lead shift planning and nursing service coordination.
• Maintain resident care charts and documentation.
• Prepare and administer medications per physician orders.
• Ensure narcotic records accuracy and discrepancies reporting.
• Participate in staff evaluations and scheduling.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily nursing activities of nursing assistants and ensure adherence to policies.
• Oversee charting, documentation, and proper recordkeeping for residents.
• Coordinate with physicians and supervisors on care plans and orders.
• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of residents as needed.
• Ensure timely reporting of incidents, accidents, and medication errors.
