Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Nursing Float Pool in a part-time capacity (24 hours per week) in North Carolina. The role includes weekend shifts and partial-night coverage, with pay ranging from $38.20 to $57.30 per hour.

The RN will engage in care across units, apply evidence-based practices, and maintain high standards of safety and patient outcomes, while documenting care in the EHR and pursuing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care using the nursing process with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Supports a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed within the service area.
