Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Day Surgery unit, 24 hours per week with flexible hours including some evenings and on-call Saturdays every 16 weeks. Competitive benefits start on day one.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, monitoring patients, ensuring safety, documenting in EHR, and collaborating with the care team. Requires RN license, BLS, and 1 year of clinical experience. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license active in the US.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and meet unit-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit governance and quality initiatives.
• Apply nursing process for assessment, planning, diagnosis, implementation and evaluation.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans with the care team.
• Maintain patient safety and comply with care protocols.
• Document accurately in the EHR system.
• May float to other units as needed.
