Job summary

Advocate Health Care's Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Endoscopy/GI Lab. This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly, 8-hour shifts, and on-call rotations every fourth weekend with additional weekday call shifts.

You'll work in a fast-paced unit, applying nursing process, maintaining patient safety, documenting in EHR, and pursuing professional development. Requires BSN preferred, BLS, and IL RN license; typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Use nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans.
