Job summary

Douglas Manor, part of Ryders Health Management, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for part-time shifts in Windham, CT. You will provide resident-centered care and work with a supportive team.

Responsibilities include assessments, med administration, vital signs monitoring, daily living support, and collaboration with therapists, CNAs/LPNs, and physicians to ensure quality care. Training and orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policy.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and resident-centered approach.
• Ability to work in a long-term care environment with reliable attendance.
• Capacity to perform nursing procedures (medication administration, IV therapy, wound care).

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' physical, emotional, and medical needs; monitor health status and report changes.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policy.
• Monitor vital signs, perform health checks, and respond to changes or emergencies.
• Provide direct nursing care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure cohesive, resident-centered care.
• Document assessments, treatments, and changes in residents' medical records.
• Communicate with residents, families, and the care team about status and plans.
• Educate residents and families regarding care and wellness.
