Ryders Health Management is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time work at Douglas Manor in Windham, CT. The CNA will provide resident-centered care, support daily activities, and work within a collaborative health care team.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Connecticut CNA certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Compassionate, resident-centered attitude; strong interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to lift, turn, move residents and assist with care.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene.
• Assist with mobility: transfers, repositioning, ambulation, mobility aids as needed.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor for changes.
• Serve meals and assist with feeding; record intake/output.
• Maintain clean, safe, sanitary resident rooms and areas.
• Assist with incontinence care and dignity preservation.
• Observe resident status; provide companionship and alert nurses to changes.
• Communicate with residents and families about needs and status.
• Follow facility policies including infection control and safety.
