Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in Lancaster, CA is looking for a Part-time Sales Associate / Material Handler to join our thrift store team. The role blends customer service with merchandise handling to keep donations and stock presented well.

You will operate the POS, assist donors, and support daily store operations under the Store Manager. Evening/weekend shifts may be required; lifting up to 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register.
• Must pass background check (Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry).
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items for sale on the floor per standards.
• Sort donations and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Follow safety policies and store dress code; support store management.
