Job summary

The Salvation Army Orange County is seeking a part-time Sales Associate/Material Handler for our Santa Ana Store. You will help customers and donors, stock merchandise, and keep the donation area organized to support the Adult Rehabilitation Program.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, ensuring safety, and participating in monthly store meetings while providing excellent service to the local community.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must pass a background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors with a warm, prompt, and courteous assistant.
• Stock priced items ready to be merchandised on the sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area cleanliness, neatness, and organization.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned by Management.
• Follow POS/Cash Register Policies in TSA policies and procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend required Monthly Store Meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently.
• Provide quality assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.
• Assist donors in removing donated items from vehicles and provide receipts.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack as instructed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
