Job summary

The Salvation Army Orange County is recruiting for a Material Handler at our Foothill Ranch Store. You will greet donors and customers, stock merchandise, maintain a clean and organized sales floor and donation area, and follow TSA policies for cash handling and safety.

This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling across 7 days per week. Responsibilities include receiving inventory, inspecting items, assisting donors, and performing related duties as needed by store management.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Must pass a background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers and donors promptly and courteously.
• Stock priced items for the sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area cleanliness and organization.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned by Management.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies per TSA procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory items.
• Inspect products for defects and damages for Quality Assurance.
• Assist donor in removing donated items from vehicle and provide receipts.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack as instructed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
