Job summary

Oglebay Park in Wheeling, WV seeks a friendly Part-Time Retail Associate to welcome guests and assist with merchandise selection.

You will operate the point-of-sale system, process sales and returns, stock and rotate merchandise, and maintain a clean, organized shop. Prior retail or guest-service experience is preferred; training will be provided. This role takes place at Oglebay Park's gift shop, with opportunities to engage guests about resort amenities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or related experience or training.
• Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist guests with selecting merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, including cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
• Process sales, exchanges, and returns according to policy.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and follow all register procedures.
• Stock, replenish, and rotate retail products.
• Keep shelves and displays clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Assist with receiving and tagging merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas during the shift.
• Provide product and local offering information to guests.
• Promote resort activities and events when opportunities arise.
• Handle guest questions and complaints professionally and promptly.
