Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is hiring for a part-time Retail Associate. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, aiding with floor presentation, and processing transactions efficiently.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining clean and organized displays, and collaborating with management to meet visual and sales goals. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; will consider combination of education and work experience.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate must successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates an enthusiastic, positive attitude at all times. Acts courteously and with interest in each customer encounter.
• Greets every customer swiftly upon entering the building. Makes eye contact and smiles. Thanks each customer at the end of the transaction and when they leave the store.
• Engages with customers and assists on the sales floor as needed.
• Processes customer transactions quickly and accurately within cash handling guidelines.
• Participates in putting fresh product out on the sales floor and rotating stock.
• Maintains the sales floor in a clean, neat and orderly fashion; wraps desks free of clutter.
• Maintains store visuals and end caps to support display goals and stock levels.
• Addresses cleanliness issues with management when needed.
• Understands and supports the store's round-up goals as assigned by the manager.
• Performs duties to ensure safety and policy compliance.
