Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) Goose Creek, SC seeks a part-time customer service associate to support sales and service operations. A strong focus on customer satisfaction, accurate cash handling, and knowledge of NEX policies will be essential as you assist customers and process transactions.

You will work as part of a team, greeting customers, handling layaway and payments, and maintaining store standards. Prior retail experience and familiarity with store policies are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales.
• Substitution: college study (½ academic year) can substitute 6 months experience.
• Ability to perform cash register transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with store policies: returns, price matching, rain checks.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide specialized services.
• Process sales transactions quickly and accurately.
• Handle layaway, refunds, exchanges, and price adjustments.
• Assist customers with NEXCARD accounts and payments.
• Monitor rain checks, orders, and deliveries; update customers on status.
• Assist in training new associates and support sales team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
