Job summary

NAVY Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in Virginia Beach is seeking a part-time Cashier to be the face of the store, delivering premier customer service, handling transactions, and helping customers discover products and promotions.

You will use the POS system, count change, and maintain the checkout area while supporting inventory, restocking, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems.
• Retail or relevant work experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents; communicate with customers and management.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage and connect with customers.
• Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about events and promotions.
• Process sales using the POS system and handle cash, including making change.
• Maintain checkout area and restock bags and packaging materials.
• Assist with inventory processes and ticketing.
• Adhere to assigned work schedule and complete duties.
• Support teamwork and provide reliable service.
