Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, and help keep the store stocked and orderly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience. The role requires physical stamina and strong communication, with a team-oriented environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Lift 30–50 lbs; frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills expected.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise as needed.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors and general areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
