Job summary

Family Dollar in Houston, TX is seeking a Customer Service Associate II to support daily store operations, from merchandising to assisting customers. You will help maintain a clean, welcoming environment and be cross-trained to handle front-end duties as needed.

The role emphasizes friendly, professional customer interactions, accurate cash handling, and teamwork with store leaders. A high school diploma is preferred, and prior retail or service experience is valued. This is a part-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail/customer service experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and read operational documents.
• Lift 30–50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Excellent customer service and relationship skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise, unload trucks, and process freight safely.
• Merchandise and stock shelves as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist with sales transactions at the cash register.
• Protect cash and company assets, performing other duties as assigned.
