Job summary

Family Dollar in Denver City, TX is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, and help keep the store neat and well-stocked.

You should have a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, retail or customer service experience is highly valued, and you must be able to lift 30–50 lbs, stand and move throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail or service experience in a customer-facing environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
