Job summary

Flowerama is seeking hardworking, upbeat applicants for day, evening, and weekend shifts in our florist and gift store. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with a focus on building rapport with customers and delivering friendly service.

Candidates should be able to work as part of a team, type at least 30 WPM, and handle up to 40 lbs. The position requires standing for long periods and flexibility to cover holiday hours. Weekend availability is important.

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience is required.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Strong telephone skills and ability to establish rapport with customers.
• Familiarity with florist business is helpful but not mandatory.
• Floral design experience is helpful but not mandatory.
• Ability to work as part of a team and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Typing ability at least 30 WPM.
• Point of Sales experience is a plus.
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted and stand 8 hours daily (10 hours seasonally).
• Flexible schedule with hours Mon–Fri 7am–7pm, Sat 8am–7pm, Sun 10am–4pm; extended hours during busy holidays.
