Job summary

Family Dollar in Salem, AR is seeking a Part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, manage transactions at the register, stock merchandise, and keep the store clean and welcoming.

The role emphasizes friendly interactions, safety, and reliability. A high school diploma is preferred, prior retail experience is helpful, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs is expected. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
