Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Ohio LLC is seeking a part-time store associate to assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, unload trucks, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You will engage with customers professionally and support store operations to meet daily goals.

Responsibilities include executing transactions, restocking, maintaining security of cash and assets, and following directions to ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, and other physical activities.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash, and keep areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
